Youth Volunteers
- Every Meal requires volunteers to be at least 8 years old, no exceptions.
- Every Meal requires a Volunteer Release Form to be signed by the youth volunteer’s parent/legal guardian.
- There are two options for filing out the Volunteer Release Form:
- A hard copy can be printed off and signed. Here is the link for the Volunteer Release Form.
- If the accompanying adult for an event is not their parent/legal guardian, youth volunteer must arrive with a signed Volunteer Release Form.
- A digital Volunteer Release Form can be completed on-site by the parent/legal guardian of the youth volunteer.
- Youth volunteers must be accompanied by an adult. If your child is between the ages of 13-17 and would like to volunteer independently, please contact us at volunteer@everymeal.org or 612-568-4003.
- A youth volunteer can create a volunteer account with the consent of their parent/legal guardian. This is the best option for those who might want to volunteer multiple times, or who need a record of their volunteer hours.
- To create an account for someone under the age of 18:
- The account MUST have the volunteer's name, birthday, and individual email address.
- Parent/legal guardian must sign Volunteer Release Form.

Teams with Youth Volunteers
- When creating a team with youth volunteers you will need to reserve spots for them the same as you would for adult volunteers. After the spots have been reserved you have three options:
- The youth volunteer can come with a Volunteer Release Form signed by their parent/legal guardian.
- The parent/legal guardian can sign a digital Volunteer Release Form on-site for the youth volunteer.
- The youth volunteer can create a volunteer account and join the team.
- If you are bringing a group of youth volunteers we require a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 youths.
