Are you knowledgable about building systems, skilled in construction, painting, building repairs, or just REALLY handy and mechanically inclined?

Tasks may include things like: 

-Patching and painting

-Assembling, repairing, and/or maintaining equipment

-Building shelving or other special woodworking projects.

-Miscellaneous projects (installing coat hooks, mounting wall TVs, replacing lightbulbs, installing door closers, replacing door handles...)

Position Overview: 

Volunteer Photographers and Videographers donate their time and talents to capture Every Meal's work, which could include food bag packing events and other volunteer activities, food distributions at schools and partner sites, fundraising and other events, and other specialized requests, which may be used by Every Meal for a wide variety of purposes, including social and news media, promotional materials, reports, and trainings.

Duties: 

Take pictures  or videos on or offsite that capture Every Meal's work.Represent Every Meal in a professional manner follow rules, regulations, and safety guidelines while volunteering on our properties.If assigned to photograph or record a property that is not open to the public, an Every Meal staff member will help coordinate the visit and accompany youReview and edit photography/videos prior to submission.Submit your best photographs/videos  in hi-res. Track and report volunteer time using Every Meal's volunteer portal.

Schedule: 

Every Meal will share date of events that have photography/videography needs and check if Volunteers  are available on those days/times.For  needs that don't have a set date, shifts will generally take place during business hours, Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm and can be scheduled around Volunteer Photographers availability.

Qualifications: 

Experience with photography and/or videography and editing.Access to your own camera and other photography equipment.  Ability to communicate clearly with staff and able to receive and understand assignments.Friendly, courteous, and respectful to staff, volunteers, and community partners.Ability to provide your own reliable transportation 

Photography Use Conditions: 

Copyright will remain with the photographer. Every Meal will credit the photographer on the webpage, calendar, social media, or other media where it is placed • Every Meal may at its discretion crop, reduce, enlarge, darken, lighten, place text over, or otherwise alter the image to suit the form of media in which we are using the photo • Every Meal is under no obligation to use or publish any submitted photograph or video. • Every Meal agrees not to sell any submitted image or give permission to anyone to use an image without prior written permission from the photographer.

VOLUNTEER POSITION SUMMARY:

The main duty of this volunteer role is to attend the front desk and greet visitors, volunteers and community members in a friendly and professional manner and answer the Every Meal main phone line.

Other tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Data entry Bulk Mailings Supply inventory Receive and process food donations  Assist community members with food pickup. Light housekeeping and organizing Special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated understanding of and agreement to Every Meal’s mission - to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. Abide by Every Meal Volunteer Policies and Procedures   Abide by Confidentiality agreement Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn additional cloud-based systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team  Manages tasks efficiently to ensure timely completion Excellent interpersonal skills Strong customer service  Strong oral and written communication skills  Ability to commit to volunteering 3-4 hours per week    Possess open/non-judgmental attitude toward community facing food insecurity Background Check required

HOURS: Volunteer Admin Assistants commit to a weekly shift on a consistent day each week. Shifts are 9:00am -  noon or noon - 3:30pm.

Overview of the Every Meal Videographer Position:

Every Meal is looking for a volunteer with seasoned videography talents to share with our organization. 

The volunteer will help create a storyboard, set the scene, videotape, edit and finalize a finished product to be posted on our website. This position helps ensure Every Meal has the most relevant and accurate videos available to the public explaining what we do, how we do it, why we do it, and what sets us apart!

There are many videos needed. We are looking for any volunteer willing to give of their time and talents to help Every Meal with this work. Interested volunteers can choose which project they prefer and the time commitment they have available to share.

This volunteer will work closely with the Volunteer Manager of Every Meal and the Marketing Department.

 

Location: 

Every Meal Office Portions of the position can be done remotely, if desired.

Overview of the Every Meal Hmong Translator Volunteer Position:

At Every Meal, we strive to reduce barriers that may limit a person's ability to access resources. In this position, the volunteer will translate various Every Meal materials and resources from English to Hmong, including, but not limited to, program marketing materials such as flyers and posters, participant surveys, and website resources. This position will help ensure Every Meal provides accurate and accessible information for our community.  The volunteer will work with the Program and Marketing Team at Every Meal.

Hmong Translator Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

Complete accurate translations of Program and Marketing materials and resources from English to Hmong.  

Skills and Abilities Needed:

Ability to work independently Fluent in Hmong and English 

Location: 

This position can be done remotely, or a space and computer at the Every Meal office can be provided. 

Time Commitment:
