Shifts From: Every Meal

Volunteer: Wall Demolition | Summer 2026

Wall demolition volunteers needed!

NOTE: Shifts on Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday July 9th are for CLEAN UP only.  All walls have come down!  We just have to clean up the remaining debris.  Drywall slabs, metal wall studs, insulation etc. will be put on pallets or in huge cardboard gaylords in the demo area and removed by fork truck.

We're opening up the south end of the mezzanine level of the building (where a former tenant had their offices). There are LOTS of walls that need to come down.  The area will create additional warehouse storage.

This is very physical work.  Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing and close toed shoes.  Volunteers must be able to bend, twist, push, pull and lift 25 lbs.

Hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and all demo tools (electric and manual) provided.  If you have experience in demolition or are just handy in general, we would love your help!

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Here are pics of some of the walls/areas to be demolished.  There are more than what is pictured. :-)

Debris will be put on pallets or in large cardboard gaylords and removed from the mezzanine via fork lift.

Thank you!

Volunteer: Tote & Metal Cart Cleaning FY27

Help us get delivery materials cleaned up for the coming school year!

This task will be done outdoors!

Volunteers will hose off and give a little scrub if needed to the plastic totes and metal carts we use to deliver food bags to partner schools. We'll let them air dry, then stack and return them to the warehouse.

Please note: The metal carts are heavy! Depending on the type of metal they're made of, they weigh between 20-40 lbs.  Volunteers must be able to bend, twist, push, pull and lift. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age for this opportunity.

Volunteers must wear close toed shoes for this task. It's probable your shoes will get wet, so...Please wear an old pair of shoes! :-)

Health and Safety

Masks are currently not required but are encouraged if that is your preference. If you feel ill or have flu-like symptoms, please stay home. Read more about the precautions we're taking and what we require HERE.

In the case of inclement weather, volunteers will be notified if their shift is cancelled.

Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity!

Volunteer: Enrollment Form Bundling FY27

Enrollment Form Bundling

It's time to get Weekend Meal Program enrollment forms for the 2026-27 school year ready to pack up and ship out to our partner schools!  We send enough forms to each school so every student receives one and has the opportunity to enroll.

The forms come to us from the printer in several HUGE boxes. Volunteers will bundle forms into stacks of 100, secure them with a rubber band, and place the bundles into large plastic totes.  We'll weigh the forms using postal scales (much faster than counting out stacks of 100)!

Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.

Close toed shoes must be worn for this task.
