Weekend Meal Program Distribution

What We Do

Weekend Meal Program Distribution Volunteers have a hands-on, direct impact on children living with food insecurity by consistently and reliably distributing food every week as part of our Weekend Meal Program. You’ll be right at the heart and center of what we do. This role involves:

  • Discreetly placing food bags directly in children’s backpacks or lockers.
  • Dedicating 1-2 hours on Thursday or Friday while children are in school.
  • Volunteering at the same school each week.
  • Receiving training and guidance along the way.

Volunteers will need to follow any protocols the school has in place (checking in at front desk, etc.).

CURRENTLY, ALL NEEDS FOR THIS ROLE ARE MET FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR.

If interested in becoming a Weekend Meal Program Distribution Volunteer please complete and submit THIS FORM.  We'll keep your information and reach out if any volunteer needs arise at a partner school in the city or district you note.

You must be 18 or older and able to lift up to 35 lbs. A background check is required to volunteer in this capacity but not everything is a disqualifying offense.

No experience or diploma needed; Every Meal will provide all necessary training. We strongly encourage people of color, indigenous, immigrants, refugees, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities to volunteer.
