Order-Builders will be on the warehouse side of the building using our handheld scanners to put together boxes and/or totes on pallets or carts to be delivered to schools or community sites by our drivers. This opportunity helps ensure the drivers, school partners, and kids receive the food bags in a timely manner. These are distributed into children's backpacks on Thursdays/Fridays to help their families over the weekends.
- This requires standing, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs boxes.
- Somewhat loud warehouse noises
- Be able to work with a small group (1-3 people) and on your own
- Must wear closed-toe shoes
If this is your first time, we will help train you. Please send an email to volunteer@everymeal.org letting us know this is your first time as an order-builder volunteer.
Time Commitment: We would love volunteers to sign up for a minimum of 1-2 shifts a month to keep up with the orders. If you need to adjust your shift or have questions please email: volunteer@everymeal.org
