Learn to build orders at our warehouse! We ask that first time Order Builder volunteers complete this training session before signing up for regular Order Building shifts.
After this initial training, if you'd like to continue helping us build orders (which we would love!), we ask that Order Builder volunteers commit to a minimum of 1-2 shifts a month.
Order Builders come to our Roseville warehouse to prepare boxes and/or plastic totes of food bags for delivery to our partner schools and community sites. Order Builders pick and stack boxes on delivery carts or pallets. A single order can range from just a few boxes to 100 or more. A box of Every Meal food bags weighs approximately 30 lbs. Once an order is picked, it's wrapped up using our pallet wrapping machine and ready to go into an Every Meal truck for delivery!
The food bags are delivered to our partner schools where kids enrolled in our Weekend Meal Program receive a 4-5lb bag of food right in their backpack at the end of each week.
